Olympics

In Room 15 we have been looking at the Olympics that are going to happening in Rio this year. So far we have watched some short you tube clips on the different sports so that we understand them and how the team or athlete win the medal.

We have listened to the song that they have chosen for the Olympics this year and found it quite inspiring. Check it out below.

Also we were lucky enough to be shown the Sydney Olympic Torch. We have learnt about the importance of the Olympic Torch and how it goes on a journey around the host country. We also know that in the opening ceremony that it is used to light the Olympic flame that keeps burning for the whole time the Olympics are on.
