Flag vote

Today during middle block Room 15 went and voted on the current flag debate that is embracing our country.
We were each given our own piece of paper with the two options. We ticked the flag that we liked the most. Over the past couple of weeks we have beeb researching about the different icons and colours on the two flags to find out what they mean. This enabled us to make an informed decision on our vote.
We felt like adults as we had to post our vote into the box and make sure no one saw what we were voting for.

Room 15's vote ended with 37% for the proposed flag and 63% for the current flag.

Here are some pictures of the students voting.

Jay-Lin and Bernadette voting.

Annabelle, Melanie, Erika, Izzy and Joseph voting.

Each classroom had their own post box that they placed their votes into.

Lawrence, Jay-Lin and Jahzeel voting.

Izzy and Aaron voting.

Thank you to Mr King, Mrs Perry and the Room 11 girls for organising all of this for us today. We really enjoyed it!
