Room 15 are thoroughly enjoying the book and the adventures that Grandpa and Jack are having together. We love the names of the chapters, some of them are really funny and odd. David Walliams is very good at using descriptive language to describe characters and scenes.
So far Grandpa thinks that he is still fighting in World War II flying his plane, the Spitfire. When really he is living with Jack. One morning Jack woke up and found his Grandpa had escaped. He was terribly upset and went looking for him everywhere. After a week of looking for him Jack went on a school trip to the museum and found a model of the spitfire hanging from the ceiling and heard this horrendous snoring noise. He jumped up on the other planes to find Grandpa fast alseep in his beloved plane the Spitfire.
Today Lawrence brought in a model of the Spitfire plane. Thank you Lawrence.
I love David Williams books now because they are interesting and funny.
